WSJ. Magazine presented the ninth annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on Wednesday night in celebration of the Innovators issue in November with a special awards ceremony featuring forward-thinking creative artists – and magazine cover – on fashion, film , comedy, television and more.
The star-studded guest list features everyone from Jerry Seinfeld, who presented the Entertainment Award to Eddie Murphy Kim Kardashian West, who presented the Fashion Award to Riccardo Tisci.
Julianne Moore, who accepted an award for acting and activism, emerged as the sartorial highlight of the evening in a Celine of Hedi Slimane sequin sweater dress. The ensemble was a glamorous approach to knit-up knitting, which proved to be a cold weather this season. The frequently dressed redhead has the sparkling number fitted with a horse's belt, a variety of thin silver rings and black calfskin boots.
It seems that black was the color of the fashion people who attended the event. designers Tory Burch, Jason Wu, Joseph Altuzarra, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough were head-to-toe in the dark color, as were the models Martha Hunt and Imaan Hammam.
