I like to think that my pre-work routine is a fine art. My alarm goes off and I snooze it exactly twice before going down to make & # 39; a cup of tea (& # 39; a totally non-negotiable part of my morning regimen) and spend & # 39; & # 39; a senseless social media scroll.
After a quick shower (no hair rinse because it's a long task that can only be undertaken at night), I put on my outfit and begin my makeup – my favorite part of the morning. I usually allow myself 15 minutes to look at my face, which gives me the time to consider if I have new products to test and get selfies of the finished look if I want to use something.
However, my hair is a reflection. At this point, I usually have less than five minutes until I have to leave the house, and I will still have to brush my teeth, get my handbag together and make my hair look presentable. No prizes for guessing which thing is scrapped. On an ideal day, I would run dry shampoo spritz and curl over the top layer to give a definition. On a less than ideal day, my hair is pulled into the kind of top knot that is usually reserved if you wash your face at night.
That's why I decided I needed help in the form of quick but cool hairstyles that are really achievable when you're on time.
